Two are the aspects that impressed me most about AVEHIL. The first is the behavior of the virtual car: impressive how it is aligned to my race car. The second is the effectiveness of personalized workouts. For example, in preparation for an endurance race (type of race I never faced), AVEHIL staff developed a special combined training between simulator and physical activity. A training plan that has given excellent results once at the wheel.

The cooperation with AVEHIL in the simulation activity represented a great step forward for us, both for our technicians and drivers. Now we can count on a versatile platform that is extremely close to reality to prepare ourselves for the racing events. Being engaged personally as a tester in this activity allows me to have a much broader and more direct view of what concerns the car and its characteristics, fundamental aspect that facilitates the work of a track engineer. On one side you can experience challenging and highly concentrated sessions, on the other side the simulation center is the ideal place to calmly analyze the drivers’ feedback, unlike the activity on the track, generally frenetic. This represents a great opportunity to strengthen the driver-engineer relationship and improve performance under stress.

Investing in simulator activity has two important values for Imperiale Racing. The first is to make a huge leap forward from the engineering point of view, as our team aims always higher: to simulate means to create a range of options and different strategies with which to present oneself on a race weekend. The second is to provide both drivers and engineers with an environment where they can train physically and technically. However, it is a virtual world, never stop at the first positive response nor be discouraged in the face of the negative ones. It is a living development platform.
